What a place card looks like

Distant mountain ridgelines layered by a telephoto lens
The sample: a telephoto ridgeline by Jakob P. on Unsplash.

Where it came from

The photo is from Unsplash: Jakob P.'s telephoto shot of far-off ridgelines. We use it to show how an LCT place card is laid out.

This ridge isn't an entry in LCT's database, and the times and weather on the card are illustrations. The real database holds 37,000 shooting locations across China, and you can try six of them on the product page.

What it used

The card gives the place, the best time and the way in. Sun times are worked out in the browser to about ±2 minutes; weather arrives once the platform opens.

What changed

Nothing in the photo was cropped or edited. The place card only shows how LCT lays out location information; it doesn't mean this ridge is in the database.
